The UK Digital Twin Centre is making digital twins more accessible and meaningful across the UK.

Delivered by Digital Catapult and funded through Belfast Region City Deal and Innovate UK, with co-investment from industry partners Thales, Artemis Technologies, and Short Brothers, the Centre exists to help organisations safely embrace, explore, and realise the power of digital twins.

Operating from Belfast, the Centre brings together industry, academia, government, technology providers, and innovators to accelerate the adoption of digital twins and strengthen UK industrial competitiveness.

Digital twins have the potential to transform how products, processes, and systems are designed, operated, and optimised. By connecting physical and digital worlds, they enable organisations to make smarter decisions, improve performance, reduce costs, and unlock new opportunities for innovation.

The Centre is creating the conditions for digital twins to be better understood, more easily developed, and more meaningfully applied across industry. Through six industry-led use cases in the maritime, aerospace, and defence sectors, the Centre is demonstrating how digital twins can deliver real-world value while generating insights that can be applied across multiple sectors.
